I get it!
But here’s the thing…
You can be as productive working from home as an independent contractor as you could be working in an office.
To help you out, I’ve put together some productivity tips so you’re effective no matter where you’re working from!
➡️ Plan your day and create a schedule
Developing a daily routine is one of the best things you can do when it comes to keeping yourself productive. It’s not about constraining yourself or stifling your creativity. It’s about staying on track and motivated.
While you don’t need to work traditional hours, you do need to make sure that you’re getting everything done on time. Figure out when you’re the most productive and use that time effectively.
➡️ Set priorities
Start your day by figuring out what your objectives are and then structure your time around them. Putting together a daily to-do list can be a great method of getting your tasks organized. When you see everything you need to get done, you can assign priority to more pressing tasks.
Tackle your high priority items when you’re at your most effective and focused.
➡️ Avoid distractions
Your home environment has a whole different set of distractions than an office. You’re swapping scheduled meetings and chats with coworkers for distractions from your family or smartphone. Set yourself up for success by creating a distraction-free environment.
➡️ Set boundaries
Separate your workspace. Even if you don’t have a whole home office to work from, you can create a specific place to work from. When you’re sitting in your workspace, you’re in work mode. At the end of the day, or anytime you need a break, you can walk away. This allows you to both physically and symbolically separate your working and personal time.
➡️ Establish processes in your business
Put processes in place early on to make transactions run smoothly. Have template emails for emails you send frequently and add critical dates to your calendar. You can save time with your processes by outsourcing contract and administrative needs to Leverage Leaders and get more time back.
